Rockin' the Heart Blog Tour & Review

Rockin’ the heart by Gracen Miller
Release date: Jan 23rd 2014

 If music nourishes the soul…
Loved by millions, but shunned by blood, Heath “Fang” Fangor has led his band, Hot Wired, to the top while others have fallen by the wayside. He devoted his life to music, and from that devotion harvested a new family—his band mates and fans.
A man can desire nothing else…or can he?
Living in the shadow of her brother’s fame sucks! Sam Collins is desperate to have what she wants—a simple and uncomplicated life. She’s no stranger to scandals and how they work. Now that she’s inadvertently dragged Fang into the center of her latest gossip, could the scandal she created in her quest for freedom have gone too far?
Amid stardom the heart stages a new melody…
Fang has more fame and fortune than he will ever need, but none of that matters if he can’t have the woman of his dreams. Years have been wasted waiting for the right moment to approach the woman his heart desires above all others. There’s just one major problem...she’s his best friend’s sister. To have her, he will have to risk it all.
One that might be responsible for Rockin the Heart!

Just wow. Being a HUGE fan of Gracen’s Road to Hell series, I was expecting a great read, but damn! Rockin’ the Heart was FANTASTIC! First off, I am not a big contemporary romance fan. I generally stick to the otherworldly romances, but there are no words. I am addicted to Fang and the rest of the Hot Wired crew. Seductive and saucy, Sam Collins is absolutely swoon-worthy herself.
Health ‘Fang’ Fangor is the ultimate bad boy. Sex god of a rock star, he is used to getting what he wants when he wants it. But when his wants turn to his best friend’s little sister, things get complicated. And he might have to deny himself the one woman who could possibly make an honest man out of him.
Sam Collins is used to being in the spotlight. Being the ‘troubled, twenty year old’ sister of the sex symbol drummer of the hottest band around, Hot Wired; she is used to being the paparazzi’s punching bag. They were always watching and waiting for a juicy slip up so they can tear her down bit by bit. And she loathed it. The only good thing about being part of the group was she got to ogle her brother’s best friend, Fang. Being completely smitten with the one guy she can’t have, Sam tells herself that is enough that she has him in her life even if it is a platonic relationship. But as the attraction get too much for either of them to bear, will they be able to deny the overwhelming desire for one another? Even if it means destroying friendships and maybe even destroying the band?
Addictive. Sexy. Swoon-worthy in so many levels. Gracen Miller takes this genre and totally makes it her own. She was the ability to write the sexiest men out there, ruining you for all other guys. Unable to put this book down, it led to one massive book hangover and one pair of not so dry panties. Can’t wait for more Hot Wired . . . Rawr!

Cover Reveal: The Hunter by Joann H. Buchanan

Destiny chose her, vengeance drove her. Seventeen year old Carly was born to be a hunter, a destiny she rejected until one fateful night when the only person she had in the world was taken, her mom. Now Carly is on a mission to hunt down the entity that destroyed her world.

My name is Carly. I belong to The Order of the Hunters—a group of chosen who are given the gift to track and kill those beings that go bump in the night. Oh yes, they are real, the monsters that creep in the darkness. They hide in the gardens of our own minds by making us believe they are nothing more than myths and legends. I’ve traveled this road for two years now. It’s not the same highway, but at times, when the sun is high in the sky and the road sweats from the heat, it feels like it. I wish I could say what brought me to this point was a sense of honor and nobility. In reality it was much simpler, it was revenge. Mom was taken by Shai, the weigher of souls.
The Hunter is scheduled to be released on January 31st 2014

‘Feed My Queen’ & ‘Some Call Me Fiend’ by Joe DiCicco

‘Feed My Queen’ & ‘Some Call Me Fiend’ by Joe DiCicco
Genre: Horror Shorts
Release Date: January 2014 from Vamptasy Publishing

Feed My Queen deals with the young man Jason and his drunken night at the bar after a breakup with his girlfriend of four years. He finds himself in a bar fight, and while driving home on a dark country road, he hits something quite large which at first he thinks is a giant bat. He finds it to be a beautiful young woman, stark naked, but unharmed. As he soon finds out all too late, the young woman is something much, much more sinister.

Some Call Me Fiend tells of teenage girl Kate, who enjoys late night walks through the peaceful cemetery. She has been taking these walks for years, however on this night she will find that a beautiful, deadly and deeply predatory creature has taken up residence in one of the ancient mausoleums.

"Are you...Are you hurt?"
No reply.
"Damn. What the hell were you doing out there? I didn't even see you, you know. Are you sure you're not hurt?"
No reply at first. Then: "Why didn't you leave me for dead?"
"What? I couldn't do that. Look, I'll take you to the hospital downtown. It's not far, a couple more miles we'll be in town."
He felt the blade press harder yet against his throat. A warm trickle ran down his neck.
"How about I just tear out your throat and leave you for dead?"
He pressed down harder on the gas pedal. "I'm sorry! I swear I didn't even see you!"
The young woman scoffed. "Where were you taking me? To dump me in the forest like so much garbage?"
"No! No I swear! I was taking you to the hospital"
He felt unbelievable strength behind that arm.
He believed she really could do these things if she saw fit.
She inched her face closer, sniffing. "You reek of liquor. Do you always operate this machine in drunken haste?"
His voice began to quiver now. "No! No never, this is the first time, honest."
Her lip curled up in a cruel smile. "Inebriate fool."
He felt tears welling up in his eyes once again. "...Are you the devil?"
The young woman appeared confused. After a moment: "I suppose I can be."
